European initiative for financial education: “Sustainability meets returns”
DWS, together with a pool of experts including Jessica Schwarzer, Edda Vogt, Fabienne Lindner, Petra Greif, Lisa Hassenzahl, CFP®, Renate Kewenig, Gabriele Bornemann, Jella Benner-Heinacher and Christiane Hölz,has joined a new educational initiative in Europe. This initiative, organised by BETTER FINANCE – the European Federation of Investors and Users of Financial Services – in cooperation with DSW (Deutsche Schutzvereinigung für Wertpapierbesitz), aims to educate consumers on how they can pursue the EU Green Deal objectives in a serious manner while achieving a return on their investment.
Under the motto “Sustainability meets returns”, the programme focuses on education, free of advertising, ideology or persuasion. A key aim is to teach participants how to recognise and protect themselves from greenwashing. The initiative emphasises the importance of financial education at a time when sustainable investments are becoming increasingly important.
